My Best Black Friday Shopping Strategies

When you wake up on Black Friday, you need a plan.

And, I have all the tips you need to make the big day a big success!

Actually, sales have already started in many stores. I’d love for you to shop your local boutiques first. It truly means the world to small business owners! You can also purchase gift certificates for color analysis and style coaching from the many Style by Color consultants I’ve trained and certified.

But, before you hit the stores…take a look at the brand-new, Winter LookBook that accompanies the Closet Outfit Planner for Fall + Winter 2023-24. It’s the secret behind using the clothing you already have, buying only the clothing you need, and nailing your outfit every time because it’s in your colors and you know how to style it for body type. That’s a whole lot of help for women who want to up-level their outfits and dress with more confidence!

Back to my best tips for getting the best deals on the trends at this time of year. Shopping the sales right will help you take the stress out of planning your outfits for the rest of the holiday season!

#1 Red!

This first tip is going to prep your closet for any purchases you decide to make on Friday.

Move any clothing or accessories in this color to the front of your wardrobe. Red is the color of the season!

Then, pay attention to each piece:

Does it still fit?

Is it too worn to wear another season?

Do I want to replace this piece?

#2 Study your Closet Outfit Planner.

Look over the 12 pieces that have been added to the Winter Planner. This list of just 12 items makes having a fabulous, workable wardrobe attainable for every woman! We also incorporate fashion trends into the capsule wardrobe so you can dress with confidence, knowing your wardrobe is up-to-date.

Use the inventory included to determine whether or not you own each piece. Then, make your list and check it twice!

#3 Decide what’s needed.

Look at your calendar:

What are the events you’ll be attending over the next 3 months?

Do you have a holiday party, a work conference, or a family vacation?

Choose 2-3 looks from the outfits in the planner you'd like to wear and determine what you need to complete the look.

Use the accessory guide within the planner to find trending jewelry pieces perfect for pairing with any of your outfits.

#4 Make a plan.

Is there a “wow” handbag, necklace or pair of boots you’ve been dreaming about?

Google the item with simple, specific details, without including filler words, like this: “Black Friday Sale Brahmin Bag”. You’re sure to find the stores featuring soon-to-be-yours accessories!

#5 Happy Shopping!

Have fun on your shopping adventure!

Make plans to shop with a friend, sister or niece.

Take extra bottles of water with you.

Be sure to schedule a pitstop to recharge at a local cafe or coffee shop!
